We have created a vision for the future of the Market and are undertaking projects to revitalize it and publicize its benefits to the community.
Whether you’re a current or past market customer or just want access to more tasty, locally-grown food, Friends of the Market offers a great opportunity for you to make a difference. We need caring, committed, and concerned market enthusiasts to share their time and talents in support of the Lansing City Market. Volunteers are especially needed for special events, publicity, website development, and fundraising.

The Lansing City Market is a popular and well-managed community gathering place that:
- Offers healthy, locally-produced foods, flowers and artisan products on a year-round basis;
- Serves as a primary source of organic and seasonal products;
- Provides affordable opportunities for local farmers and other small local businesses to sell their products, thereby strengthening the local economy;
The Market is an historic site that has served the community for generations.
